How to find the town hall.
Following a recent court hearing, the Parish Council has made the difficult decision to remove the MUGA from the War Memorial Park. This decision has not been taken lightly, and we share in the disappointment felt by many in the community. However, we believe it is the most sensible course of action to abate the noise and resolve a 5 year legal process thereby avoiding further legal costs. Read more >>
Chapel Parish Council has been asking for information from HPBC about the Market Cross for some months. As local residents as well as Councillors we are concerned about its state of repair and the lack of action since barriers were placed around it over a year ago. We have recently been informed that a survey has been completed by the Duchy of Lancaster, who have responsibility for the Market Cross, in April 2025 and that HPBC is awaiting further information about plans for work on the Market Cross. The Parish Council will continue to make enquires regularly about progress and report back on any responses we receive. We will follow up again in October of this year. Read more >>
