NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER
THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 124 (PART) - PARISH OF CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024
THE ABOVE ORDER made on 5 December 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the whole width of that part of Chapel-en-le-Frith Public Footpath No.124 commencing at Point A (Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (“GR”) SK 0419 8212) and proceeding in a generally south south easterly turning to a south easterly then south south easterly direction to Point B (GR SK 0425 8206), a distance of 89 metres or thereabouts to a 2-metre-wide compacted stone surfaced footpath at Mill Court in Chapel-en-le-Frith Parish. Commencing from the aforementioned Point A (GR SK 0419 8212) and proceeding in a generally easterly direction, turning to a south south easterly then an east south easterly direction, turning to a south south easterly direction for around 83 metres to Point C (GR SK 0424 8206), continuing in a south south easterly direction up steps for around 7 metres to point D (GR SK 0424 8206), continuing a further 1.5 metres to connect to Chapel en le Frith Public Footpath No. 172 at point E (GR SK 0424 8206), then turning to an easterly direction for around 4.5 metres to the aforementioned point B (GR SK 0425 8206), the total distance will be 96 metres or thereabouts as shown on the order map.

Documents can also be seen free of charge at County Hall, Matlock during normal office hours, where copies may be bought at the price of £1.00, or at Chapel en le Frith Library, Town Hall, Market Street, Chapel-en-le-Frith, High Peak, Derbyshire, SK23 0HP, during normal opening hours.
Any representation about or objection to the order may be sent to the Director of Legal and Democratic Services, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3AG or by email to Vicky.killeen@derbyshire.gov.uk not later than 17 July 2025. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Derbyshire County Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
